Why this page suits ages 6–8
A figure in a difficult pose, wearing something complicated:
- a layered tutu — overlapping rings of fabric, each slightly different,
- ribbons crossing the ankles — thin lines wrapping round a shape,
- a balanced pose — arms and legs at angles that must look right.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Shade the underside of each skirt layer slightly darker. One decision about where the light comes from turns a flat drawing into something with depth.
