Why this page suits ages 4–5
Repetition is underrated at four — it is how a hand learns rhythm:
- repeating track segments — the same shape again and again, which steadies a stroke,
- a big bucket and arm — large areas to rest in between the fiddly parts,
- clear machine parts — easy to talk about while coloring.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Count the track segments as you go along the row. Counting a line of identical things left to right is the same eye movement reading will need later.
