Why this page suits ages 4–5
Long horizontal lines are their own kind of practice:
- rails and overhead wires — the longest straight lines on any page here,
- a row of windows and doors — repeating rectangles,
- a long low body — one continuous sweep end to end.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Follow the wire from one end to the other with a finger. Long horizontal tracking is exactly the eye movement reading a line of text will need.
