Why this page suits ages 4–5
Sometimes the lesson is simply scale:
- one enormous body — it takes real persistence to fill it properly,
- a spout of water — a fine spray at the top, the delicate bit,
- grooves along the belly — long parallel lines to follow.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Talk about how big a whale really is — longer than a bus, heavier than a house. Scale is a concept four-year-olds love and rarely get to picture.
