Why this page suits ages 6–8
Hair is the whole exercise on this page:
- a long flowing mane — every stroke follows the same direction,
- the girl's own hair — a second chance at the same skill,
- hands holding a brush — the smallest, most careful part.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Ask which way the hair falls before starting, then keep every stroke going that way. Directional shading is the single thing that makes a drawing look finished.
