Why this page suits ages 6–8
A quiet page, built around one small bright thing:
- one small apple — the only strong colour on the page,
- two faces at close range — careful work on eyes and muzzle,
- an open flat hand — fingers, which are always the fiddly part.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Leave the apple till last and use the brightest colour in the box. One point of strong colour on a mostly soft page teaches composition without a word about it.
