Why this page suits ages 6–8
Where two things touch is the hardest place to colour, and the whole page is about that:
- hair and mane overlapping — the child has to decide where one ends,
- arms wrapped around a neck — a shape that curves out of sight,
- two faces in profile — fine work on eyes and nostrils.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Use two clearly different colours for hair and mane. Keeping overlapping things distinct is a decision, and making it deliberately is the lesson.
