Why this page suits ages 6–8
A page where the background is worth as much as the animal:
- wooden boards — long parallel lines with wood grain,
- straw on the floor — scattered short strokes in every direction,
- a horse's head over the door — the focal point, framed by everything else.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Wood grain and straw are the opposite of each other: one is ordered, one is random. Doing both on one page is good practice for controlling a pencil deliberately.
