Why this page suits ages 6–8
A composition page: most of it quiet, one thing loud:
- a pleated rosette — many small folds radiating out,
- a horse standing still — broad calm areas,
- a rider's jacket and boots — neat, defined pieces of clothing.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Let the rosette be the brightest thing on the page and keep everything else muted. Children rarely think about where the eye should go — this is an easy way in.
