Why this page suits ages 6–8
Walking figures are harder to draw well than standing ones, and harder to colour too:
- legs mid-stride — on both the girl and the horse,
- a lead rope — a thin line connecting the two,
- a path receding behind — the first hint of depth on any page here.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Point out that the path gets narrower as it goes back. Perspective is a big idea, and noticing it once on a colouring page is enough at this age.
