Why this page suits ages 5–6
This is short-stroke practice disguised as an animal:
- dozens of fine spines — repeated short strokes in one direction,
- a smooth little face — the contrast that makes the spines read,
- small feet — a last bit of precision at the bottom.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Use the tip of the pencil, not the side, and work in one direction. Short repeated strokes are the grip-strength exercise occupational therapists recommend most.
