Why this page suits ages 6–8
The easiest way into mandalas for a horse-obsessed child:
- a familiar subject in a circular layout — far less daunting than an abstract design,
- repeating figures — colour one, then copy it round,
- fine background pattern — detail work between the horses.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Colour one horse completely, then repeat that exact scheme around the circle. Repeating your own decision is more satisfying at this age than inventing six different ones.
