Why this page suits ages 5–6
Five-year-olds count and put things in order. This page has:
- cookies on the tray — there is something to count,
- a rolling pin and a bowl — what came first, what comes next,
- finer lines — the apron and glasses ask for a steadier hand.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Let the child count the cookies on the tray, then draw a few more. Counting works best when it has a point.
