Easy coloring pages for toddlers

One big shape, extra-thick outlines and nothing small to aim at. These are the 27 simplest pages on the site, drawn for ages 2 to 3: a puppy, a kitten, a car, a duckling, a snowman.

A toddler holds a crayon in a fist and makes big movements, so large areas and a thick line that forgives overshooting are what make a page possible. The aim at this age is not staying inside the lines. It is finishing something and being pleased with it. Offer a chunky crayon and one or two colours, tape the paper to the table so it does not slide, and call it done after five minutes. Every page is a free PDF for A4 or US Letter, with no sign-up. When these start to look too easy, move up to the pages for ages 3–4.

Questions parents ask

Which crayons are best for a two-year-old?

Chunky triangular crayons or palm-grip wax crayons. A thin pencil is hard for a small hand to hold comfortably.

Does it matter that my toddler scribbles over the lines?

No. At this age every mark on the paper counts. Staying inside an outline comes later.
