Why this page suits ages 6–8
This is the bridge between animal pages and pure pattern pages:
- a familiar subject in an unfamiliar layout — easier to start than an abstract mandala,
- four-way symmetry — an obvious invitation to repeat a color scheme,
- fine wing patterns — genuine detail work for a confident hand.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Color one butterfly completely first, then copy it around the circle. Repeating a scheme you invented yourself is more satisfying at this age than inventing four of them.
