Ages 5–6🔢 Number dot-to-dot
Dot-to-dot hedgehog – join the numbers 1–30, ages 5–6
Thirty dots that make a hedgehog: ten spikes along the back, a belly and a pointed nose. The spikes are ten identical zigzag strokes in a row.

In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.
Why is this sheet for ages 5–6?
Ten identical zigzag strokes in a row, and counting to thirty.
- Numbers 1–30 and a steady zigzag across the whole back.
- Ten spikes in a row: regularity of stroke, not only accuracy.
- The belly is a curve that comes back round to the nose.
💬 Tip for parents
A zigzag comes out better in rhythm – say “up, down” along with the child. Each spike takes two numbers, so it is a good place to count in twos. An apple or a leaf on the spikes is a rewarding thing to add.
