Why is this sheet for ages 4–5?

Counting to five on fingers is familiar at this age. The sheet adds the shape of the numeral and the right stroke direction.

  • Stroke: curve forward at the top, slant down to the left, then a line across – all in one stroke.
  • Numeral and amount side by side: two cars in the box show what 2 means.
  • Three rows from easier to harder: trace, trace and try, write from the start dot only.

💬 Tip for parents

Say the number out loud and show it on your fingers. Let your child trace the model with a finger first. Watch where the stroke starts: at the brown dot. A backwards numeral is common at this age – don't cross it out, show the model and try again together.
