Why is this sheet for ages 5–6?
True-or-false is the easiest way to practise reading a sentence for meaning, not just sounding it out.
- Short sentences of six to nine words – good for early readers.
- A picture next to every sentence supports guessing words.
- Half the sentences are true, half false, so guessing does not pay.
💬 Tip for parents
Read each sentence together and let the child decide. Then look up the answer in a book or on a map. Answers: 1T 2F 3T 4T 5F 6F (T = true, F = false). A good sentence to discuss is always the one they got wrong.
