Why this page suits ages 3–4
A first horse page has to be simple without looking babyish. This one has:
- a plain body — no muscle lines, no shading,
- mane and tail — long sweeping strokes,
- a fence — stripes to alternate colours on.
💬 Tip for grown-ups
Save the mane and tail for last. They are the only parts where the crayon gets to travel a long way in one go.
