Ages 4–5🧩 Puzzles
Animal sudoku and odd one out for ages 4–5
A 4×4 sudoku with animals and, below it, four “odd one out” rows – harder than the 3–4 version because the pictures are more alike.
Done — the sheet is in your downloads
In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.
Why is this sheet for ages 4–5?
Animal sudoku is the same rule as with shapes, but the pictures are harder to tell apart – more demand on attention. The odd-one-out rows are deliberately harder here.
- The sudoku rule on a familiar principle.
- Finer picture discrimination.
- Categories: animals, things, vehicles – the child explains.
💬 Tip for parents
Let the child say why a picture doesn't belong – some rows allow more than one answer, and the “other” answer is right too if they can explain it.
