Ages 4–5🧩 Puzzles

A 6×5 maze with dead ends. The mouse wants the cheese and the child learns to look first, then go.
Done — the sheet is in your downloads
In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.
Why is this sheet for ages 4–5?
Dead ends train what psychologists call inhibition: look first, then act.
- Dead ends = planning ahead.
- Going back without frustration.
- Narrower corridors – a more precise line.
💬 Tip for parents
Praise the stopping itself (“good that you looked first”). Once through, offer to mark the path in another colour – the second run is usually quicker and that pleases the child.
