Letter rows from a big box to a small one – ages 5–6

Why is this sheet for ages 5–6?

Shrinking the letters row by row – the exercise that turns drawing letters into writing them.

  • The same three letters in four sizes: 26, 20, 15 and 11 mm.
  • From a shoulder movement to a wrist movement on one page.
  • The last row is the size of a school writing book.

💬 Tip for parents

Go top to bottom, don't skip rows. If the last row is too small, stop at the third – size can be trained later, while a stiff hand takes a long time to loosen. Seven minutes is plenty for this sheet; after that it only undoes what went well.
