Dot-to-dot worksheets

A dot-to-dot trains three things at once: guiding a line, the number sequence, and the joy of a picture appearing from dots. For ages 3–4 we start without numbers (match the pictures) and with five dots; for ages 4–5 we go to 1–10 and 1–15.

Big numerals, dots close together and lines that never cross — so the child succeeds first time.

Questions parents ask

From what age?

Around 3 without numbers (match two identical pictures), with numbers 1–5 once the child can count to five — usually between 3 and 4.

My child doesn't know numbers yet — is there a point?

Yes — read the numbers out and point where to go. The child practises guiding a line and hears the number sequence, which is the first step to counting.

How many dots for a five-year-old?

10–15. Twenty and more only once the child reads the numbers alone and the line is no longer a struggle.
