The small alphabet on one page to trace – ages 3–4

Why is this sheet for ages 3–4?
A first look at the small alphabet: the child sees every letter together and traces the ones they already know from books.
- All 26 lowercase letters on one page, in alphabetical order.
- Three lines in every box: top for b and l, dashed middle for the height of o and a, baseline for the tails of g and y.
- A dot on every letter keeps the starting point right from the beginning.
💬 Tip for parents
Don't start at a. Pick the first letter of the child's name, trace that one properly, then two more. Small letters are harder than capitals because they are not all the same height – run a finger along the dashed middle line before the crayon comes out.
