Why is this sheet for ages 4–5?

Sudoku teaches holding a rule and ruling out (“the circle can't go here, because…”). Following a tangled line is pure visual attention with no distractions.

  • A rule and ruling out – first logical reasoning.
  • Following a line with the eyes: visual attention.
  • Drawing shapes into boxes: fine motor skills.

💬 Tip for parents

Start the sudoku with a box where only one shape is missing – solve it together. For the lines, let the child follow with a finger and say out loud whose line it is before answering.
