Ages 3–4🔤 Letter tracing

My name to trace in capital letters – ages 3–4

The top row has the sample name ANNA to trace, followed by dots so it can be written once more. Below are two empty lined rows for the child's own name, and at the bottom the whole alphabet in small boxes to copy the letters from.

Why is this sheet for ages 3–4?

A child's own name is the first word they want to write – and often the first one they really do write.

  • A sample name to trace and then to write alone from the dot.
  • Two empty lined rows, letters 24 mm tall.
  • An alphabet strip at the bottom: the child finds the letters without being told.

💬 Tip for parents

Write the child's name in pencil on the first empty row and let them trace it – your pencil is a better model than any print. Use capitals all the way through; lower-case letters can wait for school. Three letters a day is plenty, a whole name at once is usually too much at this age.
