In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.

Why is this sheet for ages 5–6?

A curve all the way round with not a single corner is the smoothest cut there is to practise – and there are seven of them here.

  • Seven rounded shapes: the cut has to run smoothly, without stalling.
  • Gluing onto a guide: the child places the petals themselves.
  • The sheet becomes a picture worth giving to grandma.

💬 Tip for parents

The petals may stick out over the grey circle, that spoils nothing. Glue the centre circle on last, it holds the petals in place. For a flower that stands off the paper, fold each petal down the middle first.
