Why is this sheet for ages 5–6?

A spiral is the longest cut without a break: the paper keeps turning one way and the hand has to last. There is a toy at the end, which helps to finish the job.

  • Long smooth cutting with non-stop turning of the paper.
  • The result is a toy: hung by its head, the snake spins.
  • The spots on the body are colored before cutting.

💬 Tip for parents

Color before cutting – afterwards it is hard. If the strip tears, mend the snake with tape. Hang it by the head on a thread; above a radiator it turns slowly. The cutting takes a while, so feel free to do it in two goes.
