Ages 3–4🔢 Count and write
Match the group of pictures to the right numeral 1–3 – ages 3–4
Three groups of pictures and three numerals, in a different order. The child counts the balls, chicks and stars and joins each group to the numeral that says how many.
Done — the sheet is in your downloads
In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.
Why is this sheet for ages 3–4?
Linking a group to a written numeral is the last step before a child starts writing numerals.
- The numerals are in a different order than the groups – it cannot be guessed.
- The line runs dot to dot, right across the page.
- Three rows only: attention lasts to the end.
💬 Tip for parents
Let the child point and count out loud first, and draw the line after that. If they pick the wrong numeral, explain nothing – just ask “how many are there?” and count it together. Lines drawn right across the page are good hand practice on their own.
