Number line 1–5 to trace, with one and two gaps – ages 3–4

Three number lines from one to five. In the first every numeral is traced, in the second one is missing and in the third two – an empty box marks the spot.

Why is this sheet for ages 3–4?

A 1–5 row on one line: the child sees that numbers come in a fixed order.

  • Numerals 24 mm tall, each with a grey path and a start dot.
  • Three rows in a sequence: whole, then with one gap and two gaps.
  • The ticks under the row show it is one path, not separate numbers.

💬 Tip for parents

Let the child read the row out loud first and point at every numeral. At a gap it helps to say the row again from one – the missing number then comes by itself. A three-year-old usually traces best with a crayon; a pencil is still too hard.
