Number line 1–10 with gaps – fill in the missing numbers, ages 4–5

Three rows from one to ten. The first is missing two numbers, the second four and the third six – so the sheet can be worked through as confidence grows.

Why is this sheet for ages 4–5?

Filling gaps in the row shows that every number holds a fixed place in it.

  • Three rows by difficulty: two, four and six gaps.
  • Given numbers are printed, gaps have a box with a guide line.
  • The whole row to ten fits on one line – the order is visible at a glance.

💬 Tip for parents

Let the child point along the row while reading and stop at a gap; the right number often comes out loud before it gets written. If they get stuck, reading the row from the start helps. The third row is the hardest – with a four-year-old it is fine to skip it.
