Why is this sheet for ages 4–5?

Once a child can count five objects, the next step is linking the counted amount to a numeral. That is what this sheet practices.

  • Each number from 1 to 5 appears exactly once.
  • Three choices: the child recognises the numeral, no writing needed.
  • The rows are out of order (3, 5, 1, 4, 2), so the answer cannot be guessed from the sequence.

💬 Tip for parents

Count out loud with a finger on each picture. If your child does not know the numerals yet, read the three choices and let them point. Answers: 3, 5, 1, 4, 2. Afterwards the pictures can be colored.
