Done — the sheet is in your downloads

In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.

Why is this sheet for ages 4–5?

The sheet joins three things: counting, knowing the numeral and writing it. That is why it stays within five.

  • Amount and numeral sit side by side, seen as a pair.
  • Tracing comes right before writing alone, while the hand still remembers the shape.
  • Plain numeral forms as taught in US schools: 1 is a line down, 4 is open at the top.

💬 Tip for parents

If the numeral in the empty box doesn't work out, that is fine. Praise the tracing and leave the box for next time. The brown dot shows where the stroke starts. If your child is only getting to know numerals, do “Count and circle” first.
