Ages 3–4🧮 Counting
Count to 3 – count and color the circles (ages 3–4)
Four rows with one to three pictures. The child counts them and colors as many circles as there are pictures.
Done — the sheet is in your downloads
In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.
Why is this sheet for ages 3–4?
A three-year-old is only learning that each object gets one number. So this sheet stays within three and the answer is colored in, not written.
- Small amounts (1–3) can soon be seen at a glance – a good place to start.
- Circles are an answer without numerals: same number of pictures, same number of circles.
- Big pictures are easy to touch one at a time.
💬 Tip for parents
Count out loud together and point: “one, two – two apples.” Repeat the last number; that is how a child learns it tells how many. If they color a different number of circles, don't correct at once. Count both again and let them find the difference.
