Ages 3–4✂️ Cutting practice
Cutting gentle curves for ages 3–4 – a wide path
Three paths down the page with gentle curves. The grey band under the line is wide, so the snip does not have to be exact.
Done — the sheet is in your downloads
In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.
Why is this sheet for ages 3–4?
Between a straight line and a wave sits a step that often gets skipped: the gentle curve. It is where a child learns to turn the paper instead of the scissors.
- A wide grey band: close enough is good enough.
- Gentle curves: a first taste of turning the paper.
- Three paths per sheet – one sitting's worth.
💬 Tip for parents
Tell the child the scissors stay still and the paper turns. The other hand holds the sheet below the line and feeds it. If a cut wanders off, don't go back – carry on from where it stopped.
