Ages 3–4✂️ Cutting practice
Scissor skills haircut worksheet for ages 3–4
Two heads with long hair. The child trims it down to the stop line with short snips, which feels like a game rather than an exercise.
Done — the sheet is in your downloads
In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.
Why is this sheet for ages 3–4?
A short snip is one squeeze of the scissors and needs no line to follow. That makes it a good second step after snipping strips.
- Short snips: one squeeze of the scissors per strand.
- The bold line says “stop here” – it teaches stopping.
- A haircut game: the child wants to finish the sheet.
💬 Tip for parents
Print two copies, this one gets played twice. Let the child sweep up the trimmed strips, it is part of the game. When the cutting is done, the scissors go on the table, not in a hand.
