Ages 4–5✏️ Pre-writing
Finish the other half – butterfly, tree and star for ages 4–5
Part two of finishing pictures: a butterfly with round wings, a tree of zigzag lines and a star of diagonals. Fewer hints than in part one.
Done — the sheet is in your downloads
In the print dialog choose actual size (100 %) and black and white. Add a thick triangular crayon.
Why is this sheet for ages 4–5?
Part two adds shapes with corners and diagonal lines. The child must track more points and plan where the line goes – already a step towards copying from a model.
- Three line types: round (butterfly), zigzag (tree), diagonal (star).
- Fewer hints = more planning of their own.
- The butterfly and star are good for coloring afterwards.
💬 Tip for parents
If the star is too hard, leave it for another day — the butterfly and tree are enough. With the butterfly, notice whether the child can match the wing size; if the right wing is much smaller, show how to “measure” the left one with a finger from the axis.
