Why is this sheet for ages 4–5?

The lazy eight is a classic warm-up: the hand changes the direction of the turn in the middle and has to cross the midline of the body. It trains both sides of the brain working together and a fluent stroke.

  • Crossing the body's midline – important for writing later.
  • Changing the direction of the turn without stopping.
  • Three sizes from arm to fingers.

💬 Tip for parents

First “draw” the eight in the air with the whole arm, then with a finger on the table, only then with a pencil. Watch whether the child switches hands or tilts the whole body when crossing the middle — if so, stay with the big eight longer.
