Why is this sheet for ages 5–6?

A spiral changes the size of the circling smoothly: the hand grows and shrinks the movement.

  • Four spirals of three turns – one long stroke each.
  • Two directions: from the middle out and back in again.
  • A gradual shift of the movement from the shoulder to the wrist.

💬 Tip for parents

The spiral going inwards is harder – leave it for last. When the child reaches the middle, the spiral can become a snail or a snake. Tracing a finished spiral in a second color shows how much steadier the second go was.
